How to Find Books You Will Actually Love

Finding a good book is harder than it used to be. The library shelves are overwhelming, and the "Bestseller" list is often full of books that just aren't your style. You waste time reading 50 pages of a book only to realize you hate it.

AI is the world's best librarian. It has "read" every book in existence and remembers the plot, the style, and the themes of all of them. By telling it what you loved in the past, it can predict what you will love in the future with uncanny accuracy.

Step 1: List Your Favorites Think of three books you truly enjoyed in the last few years. They don't have to be classics—just stories that kept you turning the pages.

Open your AI chat tool and type: "I am looking for a new book to read. I really loved 'The Nightingale' by Kristin Hannah and 'All the Light We Cannot See'. I like historical fiction that has strong characters but isn't too depressing."

Step 2: Define Your "Deal-Breakers" This is something a regular search engine can't handle. Tell the AI what you hate.

Add to your message: "Please do not suggest anything with graphic violence or cliffhanger endings. I prefer books that wrap up the story at the end." This saves you from picking up a thriller that keeps you up at night for the wrong reasons.

Step 3: Read the Summaries The AI will generate a list of 3 to 5 recommendations. For each one, it will explain why it picked it.

It might say: "Since you liked 'The Nightingale', you might enjoy 'The Lilac Girls'. It is also set in WWII and focuses on female friendship, but has a hopeful ending." Read the descriptions. If one catches your eye, you can ask for a sample: "Give me the first paragraph of chapter one."

Step 4: Start a Book Club List Once you find a winner, you can even ask the AI to help you discuss it with friends. Ask: "What are 5 good discussion questions for this book?"

You will never have to wander aimlessly through a bookstore again. You will walk in with a list of winners, ready to read.
